Sizemore caught fly balls and fielded grounders with his teammates on Friday, another step in his recovery from microfracture surgery on his left knee. He also increased his speed in agility drills. The three-time All-Star had surgery last June after playing in just 33 games.
Earlier this week, Indians general manager Chris Antonetti said it was unlikely that Sizemore will be ready for opening day on April 1. Sizemore, who has been following his own program during camp, is expected to begin playing in exhibition games by mid-March.
