Wanted College Students in Philadelphia Studying Human Services, Psychology and Sociology

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 24, 2011– Are you intrigued by the study of humans, society, culture, community, physical and mental health and welfare? Do you wonder why some humans suffer greatly and never rebound while others learn to thrive in the midst of adversity? Are you interested in sharing your learning experiences while studying the social sciences with the world in order to answer the tough questions that many are afraid to ask? Are you ready to make a substantial impact on the world?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, author and homeless advocate Versandra Kennebrew is coming to Philadelphia Aug chrysler ust 3, 2011 and she wants to me acura et you. Come and join us at Robin's Books and Moonstone Arts Center located at 110A South 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA from 7p – 9p. During her homeless awareness and sensitivity college tour, Kennebrew will share her story of transformation from homelessness to self-sufficiency in an inspirational monologue based on her memoir, "Thank God for the Shelter." She will also discriminate information and resources with college students who would most likely serve the homeless populations in their community and in their upcoming professions.

The goal is to engage college students in Detroit, Philadelphia, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dayton, Atlanta, Harlem, Washington DC, Dallas and Birmingham as they study in their perspective fields to become the change they want to see in the world. Our future leaders must think outside the box to fight against poverty, lack of education and poor health which can lead to homelessness.  It's time out for pointing fingers, it's time fight. Our weapon of choice is the most powerful of all. Our weapon will be love.
